At the end of the three-month Rains Retreat, the lay community gathers to offer the monastic sangha robe cloth and other requisites that will be useful for the coming year. It is an auspicious and joyful occasion acknowledging the relationship of friendship and mutual support between the lay community and the monastics.
This year our focus for donations will be a new Expansion Fund. The intention is to find a new home for the growing vihara that can accommodate 3 or 4 nuns as residents and 25 meditators in the shrine room, still located in or around Mountain View.
