Sponsors: An international group of women dedicated to the Noble Eightfold Path, including Misty Miller, Paula Brottman, Holly Griswold, Val Leitner, Christine Mauro, Carole Melkonian, Patty Pandzik, Gricel Salazar, Thia Triggs, Linda Ward, and Jocelyn White.
Though in these challenging times we may be more physically distant, we are together in the Dhamma, on this Noble Eightfold Path. We look forward to sharing this time in community with you all. We will be joined by bhikkhunis from the Aloka Vihara Forest Monastery and Ajahn Pasanno from Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery.
Donations to the 2020 Almsgiving Ceremony (“Kathina”)
The last year was one of great change for KBV, including moving to the new Hermitage in the Santa Cruz mountains. This year, the proceeds of the Almsgiving will support moving toward our long-term vision by providing for monastic and lay visitors at the Hermitage in a few ways.

- Our 1st Kuti: would provide accommodation for monastic visitors and lay guests.
- A small Shrine room: Today, there is not space inside for groups to gather and practice. Our plans include a unique, external shrine building that would enable about 10 people to practice, and opens up in a way that allows for those indoors and outdoors to practice together.
- A downstairs bathroom for visitors.
If you would like to make a financial contribution, please visit our donations page or the sponsors' challenge Go Fund Me page. If you would like to provide other items of support, please go to our Kathina Wish List. Anumodana!

“…This is the entire holy life Ānanda, that is, good friendship, good companionship, good comradeship. When a mendicant has a good friend, a good companion, a good comrade, it is to be expected that they will develop and cultivate the Noble Eightfold Path.” - SN.45.2
