Daylong Meditation Retreat:
Loving Yourself & Non-self💖
Date: Sunday, June 23, 2019
Time: 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, 11:00 am vegetarian potluck meal offering
Location: 260 W Dana St, Mountain View, CA 94041
On a conventional level, loving ourselves is essential for progress on the path. The Buddha assumed that we would love ourselves, and he encouraged people in many ways to let go of the things that would cause us to not love ourselves. As we develop on the path, love develops along with wisdom until it is clear that there is no abiding self in anything and love is boundless. In this daylong, we will discuss self-love, the obstacles we face in loving ourselves and the unlimited love that comes with realizing the truth about self. All are welcome to join us for a day of meditation, dhamma talks, discussion and Q&A.
Please bring hats and sunglasses for walking meditation and/or eating lunch outside.
Out of consideration for our neighbors, we encourage everyone (who is able) to park at Edith Landels Elementary School (115 W Dana St) when attending group meetings. If you wish to park at the vihara, please use the two spaces (next to each other) in front of the garage before parking on the street.
